Country: France

Region: Loire Valley

Appellation: Anjou

Palate: Strawberry and cherry. Slight earthiness, dry, light, good acid. Beaujolais-like. Easy drinking

Winemaking Notes: Hand harvested from 4ha of sustainably farmed, 60 year old vines on clay/silt soil on blue schist in Angers-Trelaze. Spontaneous fermentation, carbonic maceration, aged in cement for 6 months

Producer Notes: Negociant project founded by a group of French winemakers called Vini Be Good, looking to make excellent value Loire wines. Made using their own fruit or fruit purchased from friends and neighbors.

Area Notes: Angers is the city around which the Anjou region is situated. It has a mild continental climate with some influences from the Atlantic. Southwest Vendee dept has tons of forests which temper the influence of the Atlantic, absorbing much of its rainfall and wind.

Soils are mainly carboniferous rock and schist.
