Nose: Red fruit, anise, leather. Wild herbs and fresh red berries

Palate: Beautifully ripe red fruit, black cherry, crushed stones. Powerful tannins and high acid

Winemaking Notes: All hand harvested, farmed with no chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. De-stemmed and fermented with indigenous yeasts. Aged 12 months in large oak. Lightly filtered, bottled with minimal SO2

Producer Notes: 9ha organically farmed estate, which has been around since the mid-1700s and is in its 5th generation. They are located in Arneis, a lesser-known region on sandy hills to the Northwest of Alba

Area Notes: Langhe is a hilly region in Piedmont, south of Alba: it includes the famous regions of Barolo and Barbarerco within its borders and is considered to be a UNCESCO world heritage site
