A medium-bodied Cab Sauv with lovely balance: dark fruits, lots of spice and sweet, lush tannins.Nose: Lush blackberries, currants, tobacco and cedar
Palate: Medium to medium full in body, with decent but not overbearing tannins and
medium acidity. Lots of dark fruit, roasted plums, cassis and black cherry with some
graphite and vanilla.
Winemaking Notes: Harvested from a single estate vineyard on sustainably farmed
land. Aged 16 months in 30% new French oak, 70% neutral.
Producer Notes: A family owned vineyard started in 1987, Clos LaChance was also
one of the first Californian winemakers to be certified by the California Sustainable
Area Notes: The Santa Clara Valley is located within the Central Coast AVA,
southeast of San Francisco. It was an early pioneer in the wine industry within the
