Delicious, complex, bone dry sparkling. Basically Champagne that's not from Champagne. Buttered toast and fine bubbles.
Nose: Forward nose of apple-y fruit with citrus, toasted brioche and striking minerality.
Palate: Dry and refreshing, with good acid and fine bubbles. Perfect balance between creamy/toasty and bright, acidic and apple-y sparkling.
Winemaking Notes: Champagne method Blanc de Blancs (100% Chard). Fermented in stainless steel, and then aged for 12 months on the lees.
Producer Notes: 9th generation winemakers, with a focus on mainly white wines
Area Notes: A rising star among French wine enthusiasts, Jura boasts a host of unique and interesting winemaking techniques as well as indigenous grapes, such as Poulsard and Trousseau. Chardonnay features heavily in their white wine portfolio, as does Savagnin.
