Beautiful, low-intervention beauty from northern Italy, made by a legend in the wine world from a lesser-known varietal.
Nose: Elegant, with red berries, flowers and mint. Fragrant without being overpowering
Palate: Delicious, drinkable, yet elegant and serious. Structured tannins frame the saline minerality. Fruits are red, with wet river stone and eucalyptus and rose petal
Winemaking Notes: Vinified organically and biodynamically. Hand harvested, indigenous yeasts, minimal sulfites, and some maceration with stems. Fermented in cement, aged in cement and some large neutral oak
Producer Notes: Elisabetta Foradori took over the vineyard in 1984, and has been committed to revitalizing Teroldego in the only area in the world where it grows
Area Notes: The Dolomites in Northern Italy are home to Teroldego, which won't grow anywhere else. It thrives in sandy and gravel aluvial soils, in mountainous, alpine climates, where it is transformed into savoury, mineral driven wines of incredible character.
