Nose: Aromatic, with ripe red fruit and cherries. Some slight pepper notes, some oak and baking spice
Palate: Dark fruits, dry, medium-high acid, nicely integrated tannins. Some dusty, leather notes
Winemaking Notes: Organic, biodynamic. Zero sulfur added. Indigenous yeasts, unfined and unfiltered. Aged in stainless steel vats on its lees for 6-8 months
Producer Notes: Chateau Grand Launay has been part of the Cosyn family since 1968. 2nd generation winemaker Pierre Henri Cosyns has been in charge since 2007. They farm entirely organically and biodynamically, and all wines are done with zero added sulphur
